Global Alliance for Africa partners with local African NGOs, religious institutions, and community-based organizations to design and implement innovative economic strengthening programs with the goal of enabling communities and households to provide sustainable care and support for orphans and other vulnerable children affected by HIV/AIDS.

Involve Your School
|
Global Alliance for Africa has been actively engaging students, teachers, parents and school communities since 2002. Our goal is to raise awareness about how HIV/AIDS is affecting students and families in Africa, and to foster the positive exchange of ideas and resources between schools in the United States and schools in Africa. We engage individuals and school communities through various activities throughout the year.
Believing that education is a key factor in fighting poverty, our current focus is the construction of 5 libraries in Kenya and Tanzania. It is our hope to stock these libraries with donated reference, text and story books from America as well as books purchased directly from publishing companies in East Africa.

Involve Your Church
|
Global Alliance for Africa partners with a number of churches in the Chicago area to provide volunteer opportunities, raise funds for programs in Africa, and arrange customized educational and immersion trips to East Africa in order to introduce church members to African spirituality, culture, politics, and social issues. We have partnered with Old St. Patrick’s Church, Fourth Presbyterian Church, St. Giles Church in Oak Park, and others to fund programs as well as arrange educational trips.
